I'm Doing It

Sometimes you just have to do it.

Even if you don’t know exactly what it is.

I’m still not sure that I know what it is, or what it is going to be, or what it will end up being. But here we are, and here it goes!

For the past six years or so, visionary ideas have been rolling around in my head like glass marbles–shiny, swirly, and glittering…but also clamorous, distracting, and random. To quiet some of the noise, I’ve finally surrendered to my characteristic obsessive-compulsive urges. I am going to try to take some of those shiny, clangy, creative marbles, one-by-one, out of the bag in my brain and neatly line them up out here, in real life, in the real world. Manifesting, as it were?

With that said, I’ve begun to plant a few seeds. I finally created my own small business, this business–KKG Creativ3–with my son and my daughter. We’re an artistic bunch, the lot of us, despite our boring outward (and definitely-somewhere-on-the-spectrum) appearances. Here, I hope to showcase some of our talents…for a nominal fee, of course! I am interested in developing training materials for others, creating presentations, editing, podcasting, technical support, educational & career support, leadership development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Did I mention our interests and talents are, uhhhrm, diverse as well?

With this venture, and its contributions from myself and my children, I hope to rekindle my imagination, creativity, and resourcefulness…for the benefit of my family, and not a corporation, for a change. Here’s hoping these seeds I am planting bear fruit…that my little shiny, clangy marbles do indeed line up and that I don’t trip over them clumsily while that “cartoon-falling-music” starts playing and my marbles go skittering off everywhere. I mean, it’s been nearly three years of a pandemic, and one hell of a life…I don’t have that many marbles left to play with…
